B&B The Teaspoon, Dwingeloo, The Netherlands
The B&B is located on the outskirts of the village of Dwingeloo.
The building is like a farmhouse. Downstairs the owners have their private space. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms for the B&B.
The names of the rooms are: Darjeeling, Matcha (green tea from Japan) and Sencha (Japanese green tea). 2 rooms have bathrooms inside the room (Darjeeling and Sencha). For Matcha the bathroom is located opposite the room (a few steps away).
During my 12 day stay I had the Matcha room. It was big enough for myself. In the room there are 2 single beds, a small table between the beds and 2 chairs to sit on.
On the 1st floor there is a small open area. You can get tea or coffee (for free). There is also a microwave and a fridge. In the fridge there are a few beverages you can take (you have to pay for these). There is also a table with 4 chairs. You can have dinner up here.
Breakfast is included in the price. You have to mention which time you will have breakfast. So the host has time to make warm bread. The breakfast is in the same room where you can have a tea and little shop (various tea for sale).
When you enter the building, the smell of tea will pop up. There is a small room where you can have tea for a drink or you can buy tea. As a tea lover, I like the smell really much! 😃

Kamp Westerbork, Hooghalen, The Netherlands
Kamp Wersterbork was open during WWII. It was a transit camp for arrested Dutch Jewish people and Sinta (Roma people). There where about 102,000 people who stayed here during that period.
The majority of them ended up in Auschwitz and Sobibor. Most of them never returned.
At the site you will find a train wagon (where all the Jewish and Sinta got transported in), a barrack (where the Jewish and Sinta stayed), a house where the guards lived and a monument. Most of the buildings, clothes and other things didn't survived this period. What you see today are replica from the original.
It is good that this place excist. We should remember the people who lost their lifes during this tragic period.
All these pictures are my own.
