Open air museum Het Hoogeland

This museum will show you how it was to live, life and work at the countryside in the province of Groningen in the early days (around 1900). 

At the site there are 22 buildings:

Kosters home (sexton house, a house for a person from the church)

Hospital

Pub and grocery

Shed

Veterinary

Gym and kindergarten

TBC-house

Printing company

WC

Paint workplace

Smithy and bikeshop

Laundryroom

Citizen home

Dijkhuis

Jewish butcher

Fireplace 'Faan'

1 bedroom house

Gypsy wagon

The entrance of this museum is in the school. After the school you can follow your own route around the museum. You will go from one building to another one. See how people used to live back in the days. There also is a small restaurant for refreshments.
